| Overall, the exterior was in
great shape, considering it had been around for almost 60 years. Every piece of
chrome that came with the car was "there" ... and the red lucite Pontiac Indian
Chief at the front of the hood was in one piece also, albeit it will need some cleaning
up. The grill work will require some buffing and
polishing, and a few pieces will need to see a rechroming company. Only one bumper
guard is missing, on the front passenger side, and it can probably be obtained through
diligent eBay searching over the next few years.

| The main activity
throughout August and September of 2004 was to literally pour copious amounts of Releasall
and WD-40 and inexpensive 5W-30 engine oil on to every conceivable exterior and interior
location. The application of these liquids, and a
winter of "setting", will allow the various chrome pieces to be slowly removed
without potential serious damage. |
