1948 Pontiac Silver Streak
Fleetleader Special Two-Door Sedan

As can be expected with a vehicle that saw extensive use for who knows how many years, the fenders will require substantial work.  At this juncture it does not appear that the fenders will require replacing; rather a lot of patching and resurfacing will be required.

Of the four fenders, the "best" is the front driver's side by the bumper.  The worst areas will be the rear, in the vicinity of the fuel tank entry point and the driver's side.

The two fender "overlap" areas, that cover the driver's and passenger's doors, will not require much to bring them back to "life".

Fortunately, the car spent all of its known life in Saskatchewan, Canada, where road salt has seldom been used.  As well, assuming that the car was used on country gravel roads and not in an urban setting, the use of road salt would have been minimal.
