1948 Pontiac Silver Streak
Fleetleader Special Two-Door Sedan

On page 2, the dash area was shown.  Here, one can see the shape of the rest of the interior.  All of the door and window handles came with the car, and understandably, the plastic "washers" were basically rotten and will be replaced with modern items.   All windows operated freely, except for the driver's door, and copious amounts of WD-40 and 5W-30 oil will soak through the assembly throughout the winter of 2004-2005.

The floor of the interior was immaculate, with very little rust showing.  A preliminary inspection would indicate that a good cleaning in the spring of 2005 and then a liberal application of POR-15 or similar product will resolve any further issues.

Being a car with under-the-body clutch and brake assemblies, the floor openings will be properly filled in and all new insulation will be applied.  That headliner (right) will have to go, with new material to match the seats that will ultimately come from a used Grand Prix, Grand Am, Buick or Oldsmobile.
