What is the Manitoba Pontiac Association all about?
The Manitoba Pontiac Association is a Winnipeg based car club whose main objective is to promote the preservation, restoration, and admiration of Pontiac, Buick, and Oldsmobile vehicles.  Our members are car enthusiasts who either own, or want to own, a new, old, or classic Pontiac, Buick, or Oldsmobile.

A few people that wanted to share their love of cars with others formed the Manitoba Pontiac Association in August 1991.  There are approximately 50 families (75 - 80 people) in the club, ranging in ages of 18 to 60+.   We promote the club as a "family club", planning events for all to enjoy.   Besides trying to attend most of the local car show-and-shines, we have family picnics, photo shoots, sleigh rides, bowling, and enjoy socializing.  To learn more about the Club's formative years, click HERE.

Our yearly membership of $30.00 (per family) includes an informative newsletter "The Cruisin' Chiefs".  The club meets at Park Pontiac Buick GMC (our major sponsor) the first Tuesday of each month for a business meeting.  We occasionally gather for a social get together at one of several locations.

As a non-profit organization, the Manitoba Pontiac Association is very proud to be an active fundraiser for the Variety Club of Manitoba.  We have been a part of this children's charity since 1993.  We raise money by monitoring a parking lot at Century Street and Ellice Avenue for all Winnipeg Blue Bomber games, and all major events held at the Winnipeg Stadium or Arena.  Where else can you park for $3.00 and help the Variety Kids at the same time?  We have had a great response from the majority of people using the lot and we appreciate their support.  Throughout the year we host or participate in various car shows.   Any proceeds from these events go to the Variety Club.

The Manitoba Pontiac Association would like to invite you to attend our next meeting.  We meet the first Tuesday of every month in the boardroom of Park Pontiac Buick GMC located at 1459 Regent Avenue West.  The meeting commences at 7:00 P.M.  All are welcome and there is no charge to attend the first two meetings.  If by the third meeting you have not become a part of the Manitoba Pontiac Association, we will ask that you do so at that time.  Cost of membership is $25.00 per family.  Fees are due May 1 (annually) and anyone that joins after this date will be prorated.  At the meetings we have an optional $1.00 50/50 draw.

The Manitoba Pontiac Association provides the opportunity for all enthusiasts to get together to not only enjoy some great cars but create long lasting friendships.  Besides monthly meetings, we enjoy car cruises, show and shines across Manitoba, and other social events throughout the whole year.   Come on out and see what the Manitoba Pontiac Association is all about.  Feel free to contact any of the executive should you require any further information.

Although we are a car club, we believe it's the people that make the club what it is. The cars are a fantastic bonus.
