1962 Pontiac Parisienne

Ron Bodner bought this gorgeous 1962
Pontiac Parisienne in 1995 after chasing it for a few years since he first saw it on the
streets of Winnipeg (Canada). Ron says,
The reason that I wanted this particular car was that I once owned one back in 1962,
a factory order from Winnipeg Motor Products.
When found, the car was in somewhat rough shape and had been restored once
before by a previous owner (NHL hockey player/coach Butch Goring). It was a 'six stick' when Ron got it, but
he replaced the six with a 327 ci 250 HP block done up to factory specifications as part
of the rebuild process. The car then
underwent a complete restoration at Spring Hill Autobody during the winter of 1995/96,
which included each body panel being removed and stripped to the metal before re-assembly
and painting. A complete new floor was also
put in at that time. The trim was put back on by a group of Rons friends from
Manitoba Pontiac Association in a sort of 'assembly bee'.
Once
the car was driveable again, it went to Garson (Canada) where Otto's Custom Upholstery
redid most of the interior.
Ron adds, This clone of my original 1962 Parisienne ragtop was completed
with a set of rare 1962 Bonneville spinner full wheel disks. There are
still things to do including a new convertible top which it now needs but it has been
proudly shown at many show and shines wearing the Manitoba Pontiac
Associations banner.
This is also one of two 1962 Parisienne convertibles in the
Club. Click HERE to view the other,

Oldsmobile and his latest car, a
2006 Cobalt SS.
