Tom Balaz's Skylark was purchased in 2003 in Winnipeg (Canada) and has now been sold locally. When Tom had the car, it was painted the correct Bronze Mist original color, and in July of 2005 he replaced the previous inline 6 engine with a correct 1964 Buick 300 2 bbl engine, and installed a new full dual exhaust system. At the same time, the centerline wheels were replaced with correct 14 inch wheels and hubcaps. Tom noted, "The back seat appears to be original with not much wear and tear, and the front seat was replaced with buckets from an early 70's Firebird or Camaro. As far as I can tell, the Skylark was built in GM Canadas Oshawa Ontario assembly plant, and from the VIN numbers, it may be fairly early production. Although it looks good from 30 feet away, there are some items which will require attention." A previous owners bodywork did not match the factory lines around the rear wheel wells Prior to selling the car, Tom noted that "This car is a fun daily driver during the summer, mostly with the top down!" Check out Tom's other vehicle, a 1965 Buick Skylark Gran Sport. Be sure to send an e-mail to the President or Membership Chair to request information
