Tom Balazs newest addition was originally sold at Orange Buick Company, Orlando, Florida on May 6, 1965 for $ 4,220.22, less $ 2,054.50 credit for the purchasers 1963 Olds. Orange Buick has been around since 1929! The car spent almost its entire life in sunny Florida before working its way to Maryland. Tom has the original Bill of Sale and owners manuals and continues to try and track down the original owner. The car was restored in 1993, then sold once or twice afterward. Discovering the car in
November of 2004 on www.V8Buick.com, Tom had a person visually inspect it and send photos,
and on the same day he bought it over the phone.
A keen bargainer, he obtained the car for several thousand dollars less than the
previous owner had paid 5 years earlier. The car does require
some bodywork and new paint. Under the hood
is a 445 Wildcat nailhead V8, the 445 being the torque rating. Rated at 325 HP it has plenty of power. While continuing to bring the car back to its original pristine finish, Tom has his other "love", a 1964 Buick Skylark convertible.
