1984 Hurst Oldsmobile

Long time Club Member Ron Bodner says, “I found this car by accident, one spring day in 2002 when I was at River City Auto in Winnipeg (Canada).  It had been mostly redone that winter but was unfortunately sold.  I sure liked the style of the vehicle and was missing my 1967 Olds 442 which I had sold the fall before.”

As luck would have it the deal fell through with the original buyer and Ron ended up becoming the lucky owner.  There was a bit of work to be done and a few missing factory pieces, but it was a ‘numbers matching car’ which Ron learned had been stolen and vandalized before River City Auto bought it.  Ron notes that “Most importantly the original trunk lid with factory build sticker came with the car to authenticate it as one of only 3,500 that were made that final year of production for this model.”

Ron has been able to find most of the missing pieces and thanks to the ‘wizardry’ of Sheldon Lishinski in Selkirk (Canada), this absolutely stunning Hurst/Olds now runs .. and looks .. great!  Always a perfectionist, Ron concludes by saying “There are a few things to do yet, but it is a real head turner which I have shown all last season”.  This car is now proudly owned by a new owner, but Ron and the Club Members fondly remember this exquisite Oldsmobile.

Take a moment and look at Ron's other cars, a stunning 1962 Pontiac Parisienne Convertible and his newest acquisition,
a 2006 Cobalt SS.
